What is the acceleration of a 50kg object that has been given a 20N push?

    As long as the 20N force keeps pushing, its acceleration is 50/20 = 2.5 m/s².

    But as soon as the force stops pushing, the object stops accelerating.

    It continues on from there at constant speed in a straight line.
