A piston above a liquid in a closed container has an area of 1m^2. The piston carries a load of 350 kg. What will be the external pressure on the upper surface of the luquid?

    Pressure is = Force / Area

    Force is = 350 kg, Convert it to weight in Newtons.

    F = mg, g = 9.8 m/s²

    F = 350 * 9.8 = 3430 N

    Area = 1 m²

    Pressure, P = 3430 N / 1 m²

    Pressure P = 3430 N/m² or 3430 Pascals.
