    Answer: L=P/2-W

    Explanation:

    The definition of a perimeter is the total distance around a polylon. That means you add all of the side together to find the total distance of a polygon.

    First we use the formula of the perimeter of the rectangle. In a rectanble, there are two sides that are L lenght and there are two sides that are W, width.

    Then we from the perimeter which is W+W+L+L. Then you combine like terms. W+W+L+L=2W+2L=P

    Now you are ready to solve to L.

    2L+2W=P

    2 (L+W) = p

    L+W=P/2

    L=P/2-W
