high school competency tests scores has that are normally distribution with a mean of 400 and a standard deviation of 100. if the top 3% of students receive an award. What's the minimum score you would need to receive this award?

    U = 400, = 100

    1-0.03 = 0.97

    Z=1.88

    Min=z*a+u=1.88*100+400 = 588

    588 is minimum score to receive the award.
