    10080y/x hours

    Explanation:

    The rate = x/y

    x is in minutes

    y is in hours.

How many hours will it lose in one week.

    Converting one week to minutes.

One week has 7 days: a day has 24 hours.

In one week we have 24*7 = 168 hours

60 minutes make one hour : in 168 hours we have

    60*168=10080 minutes

Hours lost at the same rate = total minutes / rate

    = 10080 / (x/y)

    Hours lost = 10080y/x hours

    Minutes lost hourly is x/y.

    One week has 24 * 7 = 168 hours.

    168x / y would be minutes lost weekly, and (168/60) (x / y) = (42/15) (x/y) would be hours lost weekly.
