    If it's parallel that means it has the same slope as the equation given.

    x - 2y = 14

    -2y = - x + 14

    2y = x - 14

    y = x/2 - 7

    therefore the slope is 1/2 and the slope of a line parallel would also be 1/2

    Answer

    1/2
