What does it mean to have a control group in an experiment and why is it important in an experiment?

    Without a control group what would you compare your results to? there would be no basis for knowing if a result is due to one thing or another

    The control group in the experiment is the group that does not recieve treatment and is used to see how the other test subjects are doing.
