The right to an attorney is an extremely important right. Without an attorney, many criminal suspects would self-incriminate themselves due to the fact that they are unsure of how to answer interrogation questions. Because of this, some suspects were convicted of a crime that they did not commit. The right to an attorney gives the suspected person support while answering questions and handling a court case.
