According to Spectrum of Activity, it depends on the range of bacterial species susceptible to agents in the classification such as broad or limited spectrum. Broad spectrum are active against gram positive and gram negative organisms, while on the other hand limited spectrum have only limited activity and primarily only useful against species and microorganisms.
