    Social insurance is distinguished from public assistance or welfare for the fact that it is the right of a person or a citizen of the country to have it and use it as well. It is a government assistant where a system of compulsory contribution is being provided to the people. It is beneficial to elderly, disabled or unemployed people in the society.
