    The answer is the goal of incapacitation. The action wherein the separation of offenders from the society furthers the goal of incapacitation, this goal gives the offenders the inability to do freely what they do daily. They are incapacitated, in other words they cannot do what they do normally or are unable to function normally as an individual.
