Where were new kingdom pharaohs buried

During the New Kingdome, pharaohs were buried on the west side of the Nile, across from the city of Thebes. These cliffs provided excellent camouflage, making it more difficult for thieves to find the pharaoh's burial. This area became known as the Valley of the kings.
