It is the existence of cosmic background radiation that supports the big bang theory within cosmology.

cosmic background radiation redshifted photons that have freely streamed from an epoch when the Universe. From this findings, scientist could argue that in the past there is a huge explosion of energy (from big bang) and the photons is the residuals of that explosion.
