Would you expect the borders of a gerrymandered district to appear on a map as a rectangle or circle or some other recognizable shape? why or why not?

    No, because Elbridge Gerry, the fifth vice-president of the United States, warped around the borders of his district into such bizzare shapes that his colleagues said it resembled a salamander. Instead of a salamander however, it was called a "Gerry-mander".
