What is the prosecution's responsibility relative to the corpus delicti in obtaining a conviction for any crime?

    The prosecution must present facts or evidence to the jury or judge that proves a crime was committed. By doing this the prosecution is hoping to seek justice by sending the accused person to jail or making them pay a sum of money. If the prosecution fails at fulfilling this responsibility they will most likely lose the case.
