How does modern science differ from faith? how do these compare in terms of teleological and cause-and-effect explanations?

There is always a saying that 'Science is too young to question religion'. This is mainly because Science has just started compared to religion which was already established since the beginnings of men and in fact, in the process Science was created thru religion. However, we cannot deny, that Science on the modern day has gone beyond the realm of religion.
