The twenty sixth amendment deals with suffrage and also limits the power of states to determine voting requirements. Voting restriction have been common in U. S history. As time passed the 15,19,23 Amendments addressed the issue of suffrage to improve voting rights. During times of war young people between 18-21 often argued that if they were old enough to fight for their country they should also be able to vote.
