The appropriate term is gerrymandering. Gerrymandering occurs when the boundaries of voting districts or constituencies are manipulated to benefit one political party. For example, if a particular community close to an electoral boundary is known to be a supporter of a particular political party, the boundaries could be redrawn to include this community thus giving the party it supports an advantage.
