I believe the answer is D. Since 1976, China has had a mixture of market economy and a communist economy.

After Mao's death in 1976, the Communist influence in China became significantly weaker.

Since the communistic system did not produce a succesful economic result for China, they decided to transform it into Mixed Economy.
