When speakers use verbal cues, what are they trying to accomplish?

    I believe the answer is: They are ensuring that all information is understood.

    In communication, verbal cues refers to the words that is directly spoken by the communicator. The combination between both verbal and non-verbal cues will increase the likelihood of that the full context of a message would be understood.
