An Urban, City Environment you be least likely to have a friendly relationship with your neighbors. Georg Simmel describes a contrasting dichotomy between urban city life and rural countryside living. The numerous quantity of people in an urban environment allows for a more anonymous life, there are so many people, so you may go less noticed. Relationships are based on short, functional interactions, buying something at a store or passing by someone on the street as people busily go about their business. Whereas in the rural setting, because there are fewer things going on and thus less distraction, people are more inclined to interact and discuss the various local, social and cultural things going on.
