Why does the texas lottery remain an important part of state revenue, despite criticism from many segments of society? ndividual legislator receive kickbacks from lottery officials?

    The correct answer is that the funds go primarily to education and veterans programs. Consequently, cutting of the Texas lottery program would result, tin the increase of taxes as well as cutting off of some of these important programs. Despite the criticism, the program will continue to be important source of revenue.
