What makes adolescents much more self-conscious than they were in childhood?

    Adolescents tend to be more self-conscious now, than they were a child, since in the stage of adolescence, they tend to think about themselves a lot, in different perspectives, such as the way they look, the way they do things and their trends, wherein they tend to think as well that people tend to think of them as well, for example, adolescents are embarrassed when their parents do unusual things to them, especially which are only done when they were a child. Unlike children, they tend to have less self-consciousness, due to the fact they are still in development and are considered to be more outgoing and to have fun.
