Who contributes money to the social security trust fund?

    I am not really sure but I think payroll taxes so like 6.2% of peoples income is used to fund the program, I hope my answer was correct

People who are self-employed also pay the Social Security tax. This money, along with interest earned on the deductions, is used to fund the program.
