Which type of listener orientation seems to be more skeptical than other listening styles? Task oriented listener. Since task oriented listeners tend to prefer organization in their conversations and evaluate all of the details, they are commonly more critical to what they hear. Being skeptical of information already makes one more critical because they tend to air on the negative side of how the task with action or content is flowing.
