All the societies are not equal. The inequality for society as a whole in the social structure is commonly called as stratification. The thesis of Davis-Moore said that the social stratification because of its functional consequences is universal. In caste structures, individuals are compensated for doing the responsibilities of their birth position. In class structures, uneven prizes interest the competent individuals to the most significant work and boost determination.
