How does the demographic transition theory reflect the development of Western nations?

    According to the demographic transition model, developed western countries had high Crude Birth Rates and Crude Death Rates. This limited the survival of families. However, the improvement of sanitation and medicine from the mid-18th century resulted in rapid population growth which translated to a high economic growth and the development of the Western societies
