I believe the answer is: wilderness area

wilderness area is the territory that's left on its natural state. Some characteristics of wilderness area have the capability to give protection for damages done by people.

For examples, the trees that exist in the wilderness would protect the people from toxic pollution that produced by automobiles, by using the CO2 for photosynthesis and producing fresh O2 for humans to breath on.
