Ever since world war ii, historians and other scholars have commonly spoken of "postwar american society." how was american society different after the war from before? were these changes all direct or indirect results of the war, or would many have occurred without it?

    The post war American society was different from Pre-war society in that before the war, the USA participation in the global stage was limited, and after the war, the USA emerged as a world hegemony, often serving as the pivot of the world military, economic and social ideals. This has resulted to a change of focus in the American society at large.
