How have cars shaped the way housing is laid out in the US and other developed countries

    Roads and paths for transit have dictated the architecture of cities, from small walk paths, to horse carriage-width paths to now roads which are wide enough for multiple vehicles. Houses are commonly designed in rows which enable easy access for a driver to travel from their place of work or recreation, directly to and sometimes even into their home. In developed countries, as the rise in demand for cars has increased, so now homes are space out and catered to house cars better.
