Actively listening while taking notes is characterized by treating hearing and listening as if they were the same thing. ignoring the meaning behind the message that you hear. listening for key ideas. listening to what the instructor says and writing down as many words as possible.

    I believe the answer is: Listening to key ideas.

    In active listening, we made the effort to seek the main information that exist within he words that the speaker is saying.

    When being done in the same as taking notes, the note takers would most likely only input the key ideas that told by the speaker in order to make the process more efficient.
