How does an increase in government spending for unemployment benefits affect the unemployed?

    Government spending that given to the unemployeds is designed to give them something to hold on to while they're making an effort to bounce back and find a new job. Since on average people need months before finding a new job, this benefit is really important so they can at least sustain the living requirement of their family during the unemployment period.
