Since the US is well-known as a country who is divided into 2 political parties, namely the Democrats and the Republican, there are people who identified themselves as neither Democrats nor Republican. They call themselves, Independent. Independents, avoid these labels and would like to vote for whatever party who believes in the same principles as they do.

The correct answer here is the independent.

In the United States we have two parties that dominate the political landscape and those parties are the Democratic and the Republican parties. Most voters and political candidates identify with one or the other but there voters and candidates that are in between. They are called the independent voters who vote on what they feel is best and fits their personal beliefs.
