General psychology inherently assumes mind operates under universal laws. We are all born with the same brain. Cultural psychology our thoughts are based on the ones around us. I believe the person would line up more with the cultural psychology perspective because experiences in our culture are central with certain kinds of experiences. We'll have a distorted and incomplete understanding of the human mind if we fail to consider the role of culture.
