Researchers are studying how rapidly a hungry pigeon in a confined cage will learn to pack at a lighted disk

This was a study that reinforced the idea that creativity could be learned. The pigeons were rewarded for finding novel ways to peck at the discs, and thereby were capable of showing new patterns that they had not pecked prior to the grain reward.
