Explicit attitudes are consciously controlled attitudes regarding someone or something.

According to the dual attitude system, each of us can possess two distinct attitudes about the same person or situation. One of these attitudes is called implicit attitudes - these are our automatic, internal and unconscious attitudes or beliefs. The second type of attitudes that we consciously control is called explicit attitudes.
