Swift immediatly appeals to thrift and patriotism in the very first paragraph by referencing treachery in those who offer support to the pretender in Spain. At the end of the second paragraph he again makes an appeal suggesting that poverty could be solved by anyone who has a statue set up for a preserver of a nation. Again, in paragraph seventeen he appeals to patriotism with his statement that very worthy people, a true lover of his country, he is seperating the differences in economy. Then in paragraphs 22-25 he discusses that the poorer people have their own capital, the economy will become stronger and the restaurant industry will also grow. he appeals to the nature of thrift in talking about a cheap, easy an fair method.
