    This is the assimilation part of the race relations cycle. In this cycle, there are four aspects: contact (whereby two dissimilar groups come together for the first time), competition (in which the groups compete for limited resources and positions), accommodation (where the "dominant" group gives space to the non-dominant group), and assimilation, in which the group being dominated learned the culture and ways of the dominant group.
