Why females, particularly older women, produce aneuploidy gametes more often than do males?

    The eggs that a woman has are the same age as her. For example, a 50 year old woman has 50 year old eggs. Men's sperm is made every 2 months or so, so it is not as old as the eggs. This increase in age increases the chances in mutations such as aneuploidy.
