What are the ideal types of social stratification and how do they differ? which one, in your own opinion, best describes stratification in the united states?

    1. -. Estate System - Social stratification that's based on political power, has limited social mobility

    -. Caste System - Social stratification based on race/religion, no chance of social mobility

    . Class System - Social stratification based on economic power, had loose social mobility

    p Status Hierarchy System - social stratification based on other people's acknowledgement, had very loose social mobility.

    2. United states is considered as Class stratification.

    In united states people who held economic power could also obtained other type of power that would strengthen their position in society. (such as giving funding to candidates in order to obtain political power, use the wealth to gain fame and status, etc,)
