    It is called "differential association".

Differential association is a hypothesis created by Edwin Sutherland suggesting that through communication with others, people take in the qualities, states of mind, methods, and intentions in criminal conduct. The differential association hypothesis is the most discussed of the learning theories of deviance. The hypothesis depends on the possibility that lawbreakers carry out wrongdoings in view of their relationship with other individuals.
