    The far western frontier was made up of a diverse, ethnic group of men and women. Amongst them were Plains Indians and white settlers. While some of these groups of people formed alliances with each other, some groups were in constant conflict, unfortunately. The Indians were aggressive, competitive people. The whites were not, but they were at an advantage because the Indians were not united.
