    The correct option is C.

    An official is liable for impeachment if he commit serious offences that are punishable under the law. Once an official is impeached, he will be tried by the senate and conviction will remove the official from his office. After conviction, the senate can even go ahead and vote in order to debar the convicted official from holding any future office.
