    tongue weight is important when towing your boat because: If the tongue weight is too light, the trailer will tend to fishtail

    Tounge weight is the downward force that created by your vehicle whenever its being towed. To maintain a perfect balance during the towing process, the tounge weight should be around 5-7& of the boat's total weight
