    On the Western Front.

    Explanation:

    During WW1 the main battles were fought in the Western Front. The famous trench war led to troops being located in one position for months. Famous battles of Verdun, Marne, Jutland all took place on the Western Front. Additionally, millions of soldiers died in here. Except in the Western Front this countries also fought in their colonies, but not in such large extent, as in Europe.
