Zeus defeated his father Cronus Zeus forced Cronus to vomit his siblings that he had swallowed Zeus got the skies to control among his siblings, thus became the King of Gods

    Explanation:

According to Hesiod's Zeus was the son of Rhea and Cronus. Cronus had heard that one of his sons would dethrone him. So, he swallowed the children conceived by Rhea. But Rhea handed a rock to Cronus instead of Zeus when she conceived him and smuggled him to Crete to be raised by the Nymphs.

Later, when Zeus grew up, he along with his mother Rhea made Cronus vomit up the swallowed children and the rock. They together sided Zeus and defeated Cronus.

Zeus and his brothers Hades and Poseidon drew lots to find out what they get to control. Hades got the dead and underworld, Poseidon got seas and oceans. Zeus got the skies to control. Zeus finally became the King of Gods.
