A pH 2 matter is highly acidic and it can be determined by both phenolphthalein or litmus.

    Explanation:

For any matter which has a pH less than seven, it can be concluded that the matter is acidic. As the pH of the matter goes on decreasing the acidity of the matter goes on increasing. To determine whether the matter is acidic or basic using phenolphthalein, a few drops of the matter are mixed into phenolphthalein and the colour of phenolphthalein is observed. If the colour of phenolphthalein remains unchanged, the matter can is said to be acidic. To check whether or not the matter is acidic, A blue litmus paper is dipped in the liquid matter. If the litmus paper changes its colour to red, the matter can be said to be acidic.
