What Would life be like in our country today if your founding fathers only slightly patched and amended the articles of confederation and never replace it with United States constitution

    Life would be totally different if the Confederate articles were amended. There would be no central government. The articles of confederation were first adopted in 1777.

    It went into full effect in 1781 however, it didn't last long. The Confederation articles were finally restored by the Constitution of the United States on the 4th of March, 1789.

    Every state would have their own militias. Each state would be independent and could not be delegated to Congress.

    They could not regulate taxes or commerce. These were a few of the reasons the articles of confederation could not last long.
