Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) is a program sponsored by the Indian government to provide Indian families that live below the poverty line with the subsidized food, such as rice and wheat.

In order to provide food security to the poorest families which were under the threat of malnutrition, the Indian government had to identify them first. This has been done by means of surveying and performed by rural development facilities in each state. The program was launched in on 25 December 2000, starting with Rajasthan.
