    physiological arousal

    Explanation:

Physiological arousal can be explained based on the context of psychology as the state of being alert and attentive physiologically.

it is believed or known that arousal is being controlled by a part of the brain known as Reticular Activating System, RAS, which is located at the brain stem.

It should be noted that in physiological arousal, people becomes aroused even when there is no reason to be aroused., that is, no activity that can actually bring about arousal is occurring.

In this case, Colette usually have an increased heart beat rate whenever she sees Jay, despite the fact that there is nothing really that is causing that effect. This is regarded as physiological arousal.
